My Firefox Plug-ins

Here is a list of handy plugins for firefox, some are just for convenience or fun, others are developer tools.

  • ChatZilla – an FF embedded IRC client
  • ColorfulTabs -  tabs appear in color
  • Custom Download Manager – light personalizer for the Download Manager
  • DOM Inspector – document structure inspector (it’s like firebug)
  • Firebug – see and locally edit/debug the xml/css/js behind a site
  • Firecookie – cooklie manager for firebug
  • Flagfox – shows the location of the webservers ip you’re browsing to (geek fun)
  • FoxyProxy – easily switch between different proxy settings
  • Greasemonkey – write custom js files on a per site basis that run locally when you visit a certain site/page
  • IE Tab – browse with Internet Explorer in Firefox
  • Leet Key – text transformer (geek fun)
  • NoScript -  browse the web safely only allowing javascript/flex/java and other active stuff for sites you want it activated
  • Poster – automate posting of forms
  • Read it Later – remember sites you want to read later online.
  • SeoQuake – search engine optimalization tool
  • Server Spy – see the type of server (if available) from the sites you are browsing
  • Stealther – stealth browse the web, (no private information stored, no cookies, etc
  • User Agent Switcher – make websites believe your firefox is a IE, Safari, IPhonebrowser, or you’re own made up browsername etc..
  • Tab Scope – preview tabs
  • View Cookies – see cookies
  • Web Developer (Toolbar) – disable css, validate sites, autocomplete forms with dummy data, disable certain stuff (css/images.. etc)
  • YSlow – Checks the loading time and way of websites and advices optimization
  • Tabs Open Relative – Opens a tab next to the active one
